The official YouTube channel for the four-member Japanese dance rock band DISH// started streaming a new music video for their 16th CD single song “Plan A.” The song is now featured as the opening theme for the summer 2024 TV anime The Elusive Samurai, based on the Shonen Jump manga of the same name.

All four members of the band worked on music for “Plan A,” while Takumi Kitamura (vocal and guitar) wrote the lyrics.”Once again, I am very happy to be asked to write and sing the theme song for a TV anime series. When I was a child, I used to come home from school just to watch anime. Even today, someone is still spending time creating that kind of identity, and The Elusive Samurai should become a piece of their daily enjoyment. We can mark its beginning. How happy we are. I am grateful,” Kitamura said on Billboard Japan. “There are moments when running away is the best thing to do. I think being the best is the coolest way to fight things. We made this song because we thought it would be good to have such a Plan A. I hope you enjoy it.”The CD single of “Plan A” is set to release in Japan on September 4, 2024. Ahead of the CD release, the song is now available on digital services for streaming and download.

The TV anime adaptation of Assassination Classroom author Yusei Matsui’s Weekly Shonen Jump historical manga series The Elusive Samurai premiered in Japan on July 6, 2024.
