After teasing a brand new Ranma 1/2 anime a few weeks back, the series held a special live stream on its social media accounts revealing a ton of info on the new adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi’s manga series to show how it’ll shape up.
The news includes its first trailer, the first visual, the lead staff and returning cast, the opening theme song singer and broadcast information for an October 5 premiere.

The original cast from the two 80s and 90s anime returns for the 2024 Ranma 1/2 TV anime in mostly the same roles, including:

Nabiki Tendo voiced by Minami Takayama

The differences between the original anime voice cast and the 2024 anime see Akio Otsuka replacing Ryusuke Obayashi as Soun Tendo and Cho replacing Kenichi Ogata as Genma Saotome. However, Ogata is still part of the voice cast as the Narrator of the series. Performing the opening theme song is ano, who is known for singing Chainsaw Man’s “Chu, Tayousei.” ending tune.
Early One Piece anime director Konosuke Uda is directing Ranma 1/2 at MAPPA with series composition written by Kimiko Ueno (Delicious in Dungeon), character designs by Hiromi Taniguchi (FLCL Alternative costume designer) and music from Kaoru Wada (Inuyasha). The other staff members include:
