Today during their 2024 game showcase, Marvelous finally lifted the curtain on “Project Magia”—a previously announced collaboration between the company and Fairy Tail creator Hiro Mashima. Today, we have more confirmation on the nature of the project, including its official name: Farmagia.
The theme of the game is described as “exploring new territory,” and will include the concept of interactions between humans and monsters.
The main characters of the series were also introduced during the showcase, along with the star-studded cast that will be voicing them. Leading the cast is the honest and headstrong Ten, voiced by Kohei Amasaki (Otto Suwen in Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-).
Ten will be accompanied by two childhood friends. The competitive but kind Arche is voiced by Ayane Sakura (Ochaco in My Hero Academia), and the reserved but take-charge Chica is voiced by Inori Minase (Rem in Re:ZERO).
Finally for now, we have the mascot Lookie-Loo—described as a “mood maker” character who’s always cracking jokes. Lookie-Loo will be voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki (Anya in SPY x FAMILY).
Sakura and Minase (as Arche and Chica) will also be singing the game’s opening theme, titled “dis-dystopia.”
Farmagia is currently in development, with a projected release date sometime this year.
