The first episode of the first installment, Futari wa Precure/Pretty Cure, aired in Japan 20 years ago, on February 1, 2004.A 30-second celebratory video was broadcast at the beginning of the episode before the story began, and now also streams on the franchise’s official YouTube channel. The clip narrated by Cure Wonderful (CV: Maria Naganawa) looks back at the franchise’s 20-year history, introducing the series and characters of the past. The song featured in the clip is “Precure ~Eien no Tomodachi (2014 version),” the theme song for the 2014 film Precure All Stars NewStage3 Eternal Friends.In the end, Cure Black from Futari wa Precure and Futari wa Precure Max Heart and Cure Wonderful appear and thank viewers for reaching 1,000 episodes.
