The official YouTube channel for Japanese singer Mayu Maeshima has started streaming a music video for her fourth digital single song “Sayonara, Subarashiki Sekai yo” (“Goodbye, Wonderful World”). The dramatic tune is now featured as the ending theme for the summer 2024 TV anime No Longer Allowed in Another World.She said on X (formerly Twitter) about the song: “I want you to listen to it as if you were reading a novel or listening to a story. With this in mind, I sang as if I were telling a story.”

Maeshima was the first vocalist of the contemporary creative unit MYTH & ROID. She left the unit in November 2017 to pursue her solo singer career, and has performed theme songs for various popular anime series, such as Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- and Overlord. Her previous third digital single song, “LOVE or HATE?”, was featured as the opening theme for the winter 2024 TV anime Villainess Level 99: I May Be the Hidden Boss But I’m Not the Demon Lord. “Sayonara, Subarashiki Sekai yo” is now available on digital services for streaming and download.

The TV anime adaptation of Hiroshi Noda (story) and Takahiro Wakamatsu’s (art) isekai manga series No Longer Allowed in Another World premiered in Japan on July 9, 2024.
