Following the opening theme “Wagamama,” Japanese singer Kujira, also known as Whale Don’t Sleep, released a music video for “Are ga Koi Datta no kana” (Shape of Love), the ending theme for the summer 2024 TV anime Senpai is an Otokonoko. The song features female singer Nishina as the guest vocalist.Kujira wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “For the music video of AreKoi, we were able to ask director Elizabeth Miyaji, who I had always wanted to work with, to do it, and it turned out great. I am extremely happy.” Elizabeth Miyaji is known for his MV works for BiS and BiSH, ae well as their documentary films.

“Are ga Koi Datta no kana” released digitally on July 17, and is now available on digital services for streaming and download.

Kujira has also announced that a CD single including both the opening and ending theme songs is set to release on September 4, 2024. The 3,700-yen (24 USD) set will include the CD, a Blu-ray disc that contains the creditless anime opening and ending movies, and a package can be used as a notebook.
The TV anime adaptation of Pom’s romance manga Senpai is an Otokonoko premiered in Japan on July 4, 2024.
