Two new characters will join the comfy fun of Laid-Back Camp Season 3 in this week’s episode. To celebrate the introduction of both Ema Mizunami and Mei Nakatsugawa, who are voiced by Maria Sashide (Emma Verde in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club) and Kokoa Amano (Haru Takigawa in 22/7) respectively, a brand new character visual was released with both characters enjoying some time in the outdoors – which means they’ll fit in just right with the rest of the crew!
Shin Tosaka at studio eightbit (Encouragement of Climb) took over as director for Laid-Back Camp Season 3 from Yoshiaki Kyogoku at studio C-Station, who helmed the first two seasons and film. Pierre Sugiura is stepping into the series composer role alongside Naofumi Hashimoto as the new character designer.
Crunchyroll streams the full series in a range of subs and dubs, including the currently airing third season, describing the story like such:
Nadeshiko, a high school student who had moved from Shizuoka to Yamanashi, decides to see the famous, 1000 yen-bill-featured Mount Fuji. Even though she manages to bike all the way to Motosu, she’s forced to turn back because of worsening weather. Unable to set her eyes on her goal, she faints partway to her destination. When she wakes up, it’s night, in a place she’s never been before, with no way of knowing how to get home. Nadeshiko is saved when she encounters Rin, a girl who is out camping by herself. This outdoorsy girls story begins with this first encounter between Nadeshiko and Rin.
