Billboard Japan announced its ranking charts for the first half of 2024 (counting the period between November 27, 2023 — May 26, 2024) today on June 7. The number one song in its overall song charts, “Billboard JAPAN Hot 100,” is Japanese hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts’ 14th digital single song, “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born,” which was featured as the opening theme for the second season of the TV anime MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES. The song topped on 13 charts for the first time in Billboard Japan’s history, including the “Global Japan Songs Excl. Japan” for Japanese songs that were a hit worldwide, and the “Billboard JAPAN Hot Animation” for theme songs for TV anime and movies and songs by anime voice actors.Here are the charts where “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born” reached #1:

“Bling-Bang-Bang-Born” released digitally on January 7, and has been streamed 348,998,877 times, becoming the second fastest song in Billboard Japan’s history to surpass 300 million streams — following YOASOBI’s “Idol” (TV anime Oshi no Ko opening theme).”I didn’t expect this at all, so I’m surprised or…, I have to say that It doesn’t feel real yet. But I’m thankful and glad,” said Creepy Nuts’ rapper R-shitei. The unit’s DJ Matsunaga added, “Me too.
