The official website for Live & Documentary Movie ~i☆Ris on STAGE~, the upcoming documentary film focused on the five-member voice actor idol unit i☆Ris, has released a main trailer to announce its theatrical release date in Japan, September 13, 2024.The trailer introduces the members’ comments such as “I have no choice but to quit i☆Ris,” “I want to turn my fans around and they want to turn me around,” and “I love spending time with all of the members,” while showing their live stage performances over the 10 years from 2012, when they debuted, to 2022, with their latest song “Ai for you!” (i☆Ris the Movie – Full Energy!! – theme song).
Additionally, the MoviTicke edition advance tickets for the film will be available from July 26. As a bonus, original penlight films, which can be replaced with your own penlight films, will come at random (a total of five types) with one comment from each of the five members. The films can be used at future live concerts or at the theater for the film’s cheering screenings.
I☆Ris was originally formed by the six winners of the 1st Anison Vocal Audition held by avex and 81 Produce in August 2012, then released their first single “Color” on November 7 of the year. After one of its founding members, Azuki Shibuya left the unit in the end of March 2021 in order to pursue her own solo career, they have been working as a five-member unit consisting of Himika Akaneya, Yu Serizawa, Miyu Kubota, Saki Yamakita, and Yuki Wakai.Following the anime feature film i☆Ris the Movie – Full Energy!! – released in May 2024, Live & Documentary Movie ~i☆Ris on STAGE~ is produced as their first live-action feature film and the final phase of their 10th anniversary project launched in 2022. The film includes rare, never-before-told interviews with each member about their struggles, setbacks, and passion for live performances, as well as their legendary live performance footage that have been shared with their fans.
