Fans of the Lycoris Recoil anime have more to look forward to, this time in the form of a series of shorts. A special second anniversary program announced plans for six short films in total, each depicting the daily lives of Chisato, Takina and others. With Lycoris Recoil director Shingo Adachi supervising, each of the six movies will feature different people handling direction and storyboarding. Original character designer Imigimuru will be in charge of some of the scripts.Release dates and other specifics have yet to be announced, so stay tuned for more. The staff previously announced a separate new work for the Lycoris Recoil series.
Beyond that, a new collaboration between Lycoris Recoil and Sumida Aquarium has been announced with more details to come at a later date.
Lycoris Recoil—which is directed by Shingo Adachi, with character designs from Imigimuru (This Art Club Has a Problem! creator) and the story written by Asaura (Ben-To manga) at A-1 Pictures—is currently streaming on Crunchyroll in both its original Japanese and in English-dubbed form. The anime originally aired from July to September 2022, and inspired a manga adaptation by Yasunori Bizen, spinoff novel and more.Here’s the official series synopsis:

It’s mostly tasks unbefitting of Lycoris.

And the cool-headed and efficient Takina.
