The TV anime adaptation of the sci-fi adventure manga Dr.STONE, created by Riichiro Inagaki (story) and Boichi (art), started airing in Japan in July 2019 and is now celebrating its fifth anniversary. As part of the fifth-anniversary project, the anime’s official Twitter account posted a special illustration newly drawn by Takashi Muratani, the sub-character designer and chief animation director, today on June 14.
The fifth-anniversary project also includes the “Dr.STONE 2024 Ishi no Utage (Stone Festival)” event scheduled for August 11 at the Tokyo International Forum Hall C.Additionally, Animate stores across Japan plan to hold the “Dr.STONE 5th Anniversary Fair” from August 24 to September 16. During the fair, those who purchase or pre-order Dr. STONE-related character goods for 1,100 yen or more will receive one character card per item (with a total of 9 variants).
