Singer Lezel’s official YouTube channel began streaming a music video for her latest digital single song, “Mikansei Rendezvous” (“Incomplete Rebdezvous”). on July 30. The pop tune is now featured as the opening theme for the summer 2024 TV anime The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies.

Lezel is best known as the singing voice of Nanami Kuon, the vocalist and bassist of the band Azalea in the Ya Boy Kongming! TV anime. “Mikansei Rendezvous” is her second anime opening theme song work, following “Reset Life?” for the summer 2023 TV anime Am I Actually the Strongest?”Mikansei Rendezvous” released on July 10 and is available on digital services for streaming and download.

The TV anime adaptation of Cocoa Fujiwara’s romantic comedy fantasy manga series The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies premiered in Japan on July 9, 2024. Yen Press will release an English language version of the manga starting in August 2024.
