After the Undead Unluck anime promised a big announcement back in March, the series has delivered! The official website and accounts for the Undead Unluck anime announced today, on the date of Fuko and Andy’s first encounter, that a one-hour special is in production and is scheduled to broadcast in Winter 2025.A “super” teaser trailer and visual were also unveiled, both depicting a flaming sword weathering a ferocious blizzard.

Based on the manga by Yoshifumi Tozuka, the first season of Undead Unluck aired for 24 episodes from October 2023 to March 2024. Yuki Yase (Fire Force) directed the series at studio david production, with series composition by Gakuto Haishima, character designs by Hideyuki Morioka and music by Keinichiro Suehiro (GOBLIN SLAYER).VIZ Media publishes an official English version of the manga and describes the story:
All Fuuko wants is a passionate romance like the one in her favorite shojo manga. Unfortunately, her Unluck ability makes that impossible.
