An official website and X (formerly Twitter) account opened today announced that a TV anime adaptation of the From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman: My Hotshot Disciples Are All Grown Up Now, and They Won’t Leave Me Alone fantasy series is in production under the title From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman.
A teaser trailer and visual were revealed, along with staff details and an April 2025 broadcast date.

Based on the light novels by Shigeru Sagasaki and Tetsuhiro Nabeshima, Akio Kazumi (Loner Life in Another World) directs From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman at studios Passione and Hayabusa Film, with series composition by Kunihiko Okada (The Eminence in Shadow scriptwriter), character designs and chief animation direction by Satsuki Hayasaki (Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki) and music by Yasuharu Takanashi (Fairy Tail).
J-Novel Club publishes an official English version of the light novels and describes the story:
