The original Good Bye, Dragon Life light novels are written by Hiroaki Nagashima, illustrated by Kisuke Ichimaru, and published in Japan by AlphaPolis with 24 volumes released in Japan to date. A manga adaptation by Kuroro also began in 2015, with 12 volumes released. Kenichi Nishida directs the TV anime adaptation at animation studios SynergySP and Vega Entertainment.
