The official YouTube channel for Japanese singer-songwriter LMYK has started streaming an anime version music video for her latest song, “I LUV U 2,” which is now featured as the ending theme for the summer 2024 TV anime Bye Bye, Earth. As her fourth CD single, “I LUV U 2” released in Japan on August 7. This new music video was produced to commemorate the release of the CD single, using various footage from the anime story. LMYK’s music is exquisitely linked to the emotions of the characters and intense battle scenes.

“I LUV U 2” is her fourth Japanese TV anime theme song work, following “0 (zero)” (The Case Study of Vanitas ending theme), “Without Love” (VINLAND SAGA Season 2 ending theme), and “Perfect World” (Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange ending theme).

The TV anime Bye Bye, Earth premiered in Japan on July 12, 2024, and Crunchyroll also streams the anime in more than 200 countries and territories.The original Bye Bye, Earth novel, written by Tow Ubukata, was released in December 2000, featuring art by Yoshitaka Amano. The novel then had a four-volume release from 2007 to 2008 featuring art from Hyung-tae Kim. A manga adaptation by Ryu Asahi was serialized in Young King Ours from 2019 to 2022, with four volumes released in Japan to date. The anime is a a co-development project between Crunchyroll, WOWOW and Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan.Crunchyroll describes the series:
