The official YouTube channel for anisong singer ASCA has started streaming a music video for her 11th single song “FACELESS,” which is now featured as the opening theme for the summer 2024 TV anime Bye Bye, Earth. The clip features a passionate onstage performance by her and her band members.

ASCA is a solo project name of Asuka Ohkura, one of the finalists of the 5th All Japan Anison Grand Prix in 2011. Under the project name, she has provided theme songs for various anime series, including Record of Grancrest War (2018), Sword Art Online: Alicization (2019), Lord El-Melloi II’s Case Files {Rail Zeppelin} Grace note (2019), Darwin’s Game (2020), and most recently, The Irregular at Magic High School (2024).”FACELESS” is now available on digital services for streaming and download, and its CD single is set to release in Japan on August 28, 2024.

The TV anime Bye Bye, Earth premiered in Japan on July 12, 2024, and Crunchyroll also streams the anime in more than 200 countries and territories.The original Bye Bye, Earth novel, written by Tow Ubukata, was released in December 2000, featuring art by Yoshitaka Amano. The novel then had a four-volume release from 2007 to 2008 featuring art from Hyung-tae Kim. A manga adaptation by Ryu Asahi was serialized in Young King Ours from 2019 to 2022, with four volumes released in Japan to date. The anime is a a co-development project between Crunchyroll, WOWOW and Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan.Crunchyroll describes the series:
