Ahead of the anime’s second season premiering this October, the upcoming stage play adaptation of Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions today released a main visual and several character visuals for the Keita Kawajiri-directed production.
Performances will run at Tokyo’s Nihon Seinenkan Hall from November 1-4 before moving to Osaka’s Sankei Hall Breeze from November 9-10. Children from six years old and up (elementary school students) to 18 years old and under are invited to the show free of charge through the “Subsidy for Promotion of Culture and the Arts” by the Agency for Cultural Affairs.
Yuta Kishimoto stars (Jun Sazanami in Ensemble Stars stage plays) as the title character, Ron Kamonohashi, and Yutaka Nozaki stars as Ron’s partner, Totomaru Isshiki.

Based on the manga by Akira Amano, Shota Ibata (The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent) directs the Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions anime at studio diomedéa, with series composition by Wataru Watari, character designs by Masakazu Ishikawa and music by Yo Tsuji.
Crunchyroll streamed the first season in the fall 2023 anime season and describes the story:
Ron Kamonohashi was once regarded as a genius at the top detective training academy. But after a fatal mistake, he was expelled and forbidden to become a detective. Years later, police officer Totomaru Isshiki knocks on Ron’s door seeking help on a serial murder case. He finds Ron, now a messy-haired recluse, who agrees. Together, this mismatched detective team begins solving their first mystery!
