The girls of Narenare -Cheer for you!- have been motivating each other (and us) through the summer anime season with their high-energy cheers and choreography. And in the next episode, a new cast member joins the ranks of the series.
In episode 7 we’ll meet Mari Aieda, a second-year student at Takanosaki High School who tutors her juniors in both cheer and academics. Mari will be voiced by Kana Ichinose (Suletta Mercury in Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury).
Featuring original character designs by Tomomi Takada, Narenare -Cheer for you!- is directed by Kodai Kakimoto (BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!!), who also serves as series composer, at studio P.A. Works, with character designs adapted for animation by Kanami Sekiguchi (SHIROBAKO) and music by Naoki Tani (Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! Season 2).
Crunchyroll is simulcasting the anime and describes the story:
Misora Kanata is a first-year student on the Takanosaki High School cheerleading team. She won a national championship in middle school, but can’t jump after a mistake in a competition. She befriends Suzuha, Shion, Anna, Onka, and Megumi to form the PoMPoMs. Their new team goes beyond cheerleading to reach the hearts of the people they cheer on. They might just change the world!
