The roar of The Rumbling will be headed to the big screen later this year as the two Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS anime parts will be collected into one colossal anime film titled Attack on Titan The Movie: THE LAST ATTACK. A teaser trailer for the compilation film was released alongside a visual and reveal of a November 8 release date in Japan.

Attack on Titan The Movie: THE LAST ATTACK will reconstruct both parts of Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS into one 145-minute film. The compilation film is directed by series director Yuichiro Hayashi who said in a comment about THE LAST ATTACK that “I originally drew the storyboards [for THE FINAL CHAPTERS] with the idea that it would be watched as a single movie. So, having the opportunity to have everyone watch it in the best possible environment, the theater, is a dream come true for me.” He also noted that the visuals have been updated from the original versions for the theatrical release. As with the last special, the theme song for THE LAST ATTACK will be Linked Horizon’s “To You 2,000… or… 20,000 Years From Now…,“ which of course references the story itself. The audio has also been upgraded to a 5.1 surround soundscape.
Both parts of Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS are available to watch on Crunchyroll alongside the rest of the decade-long anime franchise. Crunchyroll describes the series as such:
Known in Japan as Shingeki no Kyojin, many years ago, the last remnants of humanity were forced to retreat behind the towering walls of a fortified city to escape the massive, man-eating Titans that roamed the land outside their fortress. Only the heroic members of the Scouting Legion dared to stray beyond the safety of the walls – but even those brave warriors seldom returned alive. Those within the city clung to the illusion of a peaceful existence until the day that dream was shattered, and their slim chance at survival was reduced to one horrifying choice: kill – or be devoured!
