A new isekai hero is getting his own anime in 2025 — and his power is online shopping! The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World series confirmed today that a TV anime adaptation will come next year. Junichi Suwabe (Undertaker in Black Butler) will play Kenichi, the show’s 40-something protagonist. Hifumi Asakura wrote the original The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World series first on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website from 2017 to 2021. A light novel version with illustrations by Yamakawa began in 2018, with three volumes in Japan released to date. A manga edition illustrated by Umiharu ran from 2019 to 2024 with seven volumes released in Japan. Square Enix releases the manga in English on Square Enix’s Manga UP! service, and describes the series:
