Pokémon trainers and fans descended onto Hawaii this weekend for this year’s Pokémon World Championships, crowning the best of the best in the world of competitive Pokémon. During the closing ceremony of the event on the last day, The Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara came out on stage to reveal some new details on the mobile games, TCG and future Worlds locations.

Pokémon GO revealed that Morpeko will be coming to Pokémon GO as well as teasing more, much larger and gigantic, Pokémon for the mobile game from the Galar region.
Pokémon TCG Pocket also got a brand new trailer, showing off more of its UI elements, trading mechanics, how shiny the cards are, a full art Mewtwo GX and a reveal date of October 30 for iOS and Android.
While getting new Pokémon card sets isn’t anything new, a brilliantly animated trailer today revealed long-awaited sets of trainers Pokémon teams will be released in the future, as well as teasing a new Rocket set. Trainers include fan-favorite characters such as Lillie, Marine and N.
Instead of just announcing the next Worlds location, the stream announced the next two venues for the massive Pokémon event, both of which are in the United States. Next year’s championship will be held in Anaheim from August 15 to 17, while the 2026 outing moves up the west coast to San Francisco from August 28 to 30.
There was no news on the previously announced Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
