The official website for Gekidan Haikyu!!, a stage adaptation project based on Haruichi Furudate’s volleyball-themed sports manga Haikyu!, announced on August 19 that its second show is set to perform in Tokyo and Osaka in May 2025. A teaser trailer and visual have also been released.

Following Hyper Projection Engeki Haikyu!!, the successful previous stage play project that ran from November 2015 to May 2021, a new theater company, Gekidan Haikyu!!, was established for a new stage play series based on the manga in August 2022. Gekidan Haikyu!!’s first show performed in Tokyo in August 2023. Kenta Suga, who served as the director of Gekidan Haikyu!!’s first show, is confirmed to return to the same position. He played the protagonist Shoyo Hinata in the previous series from 2015 to 2018. “Since the previous show was called ‘the first performance,’ we were determined to make a second show!” said Suga. “I braced myself up because we will actually work on a second show. We are already in the process of preparing (warming up) for many things We will do our best to make it a good show, so please support us!”The script will be written by Masami Ito, music by Shunsuke Wada, and choreography and staging by HIDALI. Other details, including the cast members, will be announced at a later date.
