Square Enix announced today that Final Fantasy XVI — the latest entry in the long-running JRPG series — is heading to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store with a release date scheduled for September 17, 2024.The game will release as a complete edition featuring the base game, “Echoes of the Fallen” and “The Rising Tide” DLC.
Final Fantasy XVI was previously released for the PlayStation 5 in June 2023.Square Enix describes Final Fantasy XVI:
An epic dark fantasy world where the fate of the land is decided by the mighty Eikons and the Dominants who wield them. This is the tale of Clive Rosfield, a warrior granted the title “First Shield of Rosaria” and sworn to protect his younger brother Joshua, the dominant of the Phoenix. Before long, Clive will be caught up in a great tragedy and swear revenge on the Dark Eikon Ifrit, a mysterious entity that brings calamity in its wake.
