The male idol-themed multimedia project IDOLiSH7, which centers on a smartphone game app provided by Namco Bandai Online, was launched on August 20, 2015 and has been developed in a variety of media, including music, TV anime, a theatrical film, and live concerts.
Finally, the franchise celebrated its 9th anniversary on August 20, 2024. On such a memorable day, the franchise’s official X (formerly Twitter) unveiled a newly-drawn visual by Arina Tanemura, the original character designer. A message from the management reads: “The ninth anniversary is an important knot that connects the past and the future, and an important year to weave dreams. We would be happy if you could walk with us.”
The ninth anniversary visual will also be displayed at Shibuya station on the Denentoshi line (B1F toward Dogenzaka) from August 20 to 25.
The TV anime series IDOLiSH7 aired for three seasons from 2018 to 2023, while the concert film IDOLiSH7 the Movie LIVE 4bit BEYOND THE PERIOD released in Japanese theaters in May 20, 2023.
