There’s a bright future on the horizon with the fast-approaching release of The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 in 2025, which Maomao and Xiaolan are soaking up among the sunflowers in the historical drama anime’s latest monthly seasonal plant visual.

Based on the light novels by Natsu Hyuuga and Touko Shino, The Apothecary Diaries is directed by Norihiko Naganuma (The Ancient Magus’ Bride), who also serves as series composer, and assistant-directed by Akinori Fudesaka (Tsuredure Children) at TOHO animation STUDIO and OLM.
