Though it was already confirmed that the live-action One Piece wouldn’t be headed to Alabasta just yet, in tonight’s round of casting for the series, the official social media accounts revealed who has been cast as the King of Alabasta, Nefertari Cobra, and the father to fan-favorite character Vivi.
Best known for his roles as Bloodwork in The Flash series and Mohinder Suresh in Heroes, Sendhil Ramamurthy will be playing Nefertari Cobra in the One Piece live-action series.
The first season of the live-action One Piece series debuted on August 31, 2023, and garnered positive reviews from fans and critics, with praise spotlighting the series’ cast, including Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy. Season 2 is currently in production with a premiere penciled in for sometime in 2025, at the discretion of Eiichiro Oda himself.
