Ahead of the anime’s ninth episode broadcast, the official X (formerly Twitter) account for the My Wife Has No Emotion anime today announced the casting of Shuichiro Umeda (Kazuhiko in Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!) as Tomiichi Otani, Mina’s previous owner and a programmer.

Based on the manga by Jiro Sugiura, Fumihiro Yoshimura (Endo and Kobayashi Live! The Latest on Tsundere Villainess Lieselotte) directs My Wife Has No Emotion at studio Tezuka Productions, with series composition by Mitsutaka Hirota (Rent-a-Girlfriend) and character designs by Tsuyoshi Sasaki (Girlfriend, Girlfriend chief animation director).

Takuma isn’t the most exciting guy. He’s awkward, single, and does nothing but go to work and come home. Tired of doing chores, he decides to buy a housekeeping robot named Mina. She can cook and clean perfectly, and the two get to know each other better over time. Soon, Takuma starts to fall for Mina! But could a robot ever love him back?
