The NBCUniversal Japan industry panel at Anime NYC today announced that a TV anime adaptation of Firehead and YahaKo’s A Wild Last Boss Appeared! fantasy light novel series is in production, unveiling a “super” teaser visual and a commemorative illustration by YahaKo.
Additional details about the project, such as staff, cast and release date, were not confirmed at the time of reporting.

Author Firehead commented on the announcement:
The story is being turned into animation! It sounds so nice. I had hoped it would happen one day, but thought it would be in a distant world.
