Voice actor Ami Maeshima, best known as Aya Maruyama in the BanG Dream! series, will make her solo artist debut in November 2024. Maeshima announced the news during a live-stream for “an important announcement” on her official YouTube channel on August 26.Her debut album as a solo artist, “Determination” is scheduled to release from KING RECORD’s KING AMUSEMENT CREATIV label on November 20, 2024. The album will include ten songs, with the lyrics of the title tune written by herself.Her official YouTube channel is now streaming a teaser movie for the album.
Additionally, her first solo live concert will open at Yokohama Kannai Hall in Kanagawa Prefecture on April 13, 2025. The first press limited edition and regular edition of the album will include a serial number for the ticket’s advance lottery. Maesima originally started her professional entertainment career as a member of the female idol group SUPER☆GiRLS in 2010. She graduated from the group in March 2017 and began her solo career as an actor (mainly for stage plays) and voice actor. Her other well-known anime characters include Ibuki Niijima in the D4DJ series and Makeru Yadano in Komi Can’t Communicate.She also reported the news on X (formerly Twitter).
