From Kickstarter campaign to the big time, the official website and accounts for the upcoming Mecha-Ude: Mechanical Arms anime today announced that the series will begin airing from October 3 at 24:30 JST (effectively October 4 at 0:30) in Japan.
A third key visual was also released, along with the casting of Kappei Yamaguchi (Usopp in One Piece) as Kagami Group founder Yakumo, pictured left in the background below. Casting for his older brother Tsukihito, pictured on Yakumo’s right, is yet to be revealed.

Okamoto directs Mecha-Ude: Mechanical Arms at TriF Studio with series composition written by Yasuhiro Nakanishi and TriF, character designs by Terumi Nishii and Yoko Uchida, Mecha-Ude designs and concept art by Nurikabe and music from KOHTA YAMAMOTO, DAIKI(AWSM.) and Hiroyuki Sawano.
Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs in Japan, and describes the story like so:
Hikaru’s ordinary middle school life takes a thrilling turn when he encounters Alma, an alien entity resembling a mechanized limb called Mecha-Ude. Alma, a member of a rare species, is fleeing from a sinister group hunting their kind down in search of one possessing unparalleled power. Tasked by the resistance group ARMS, this unlikely duo will embark on a perilous journey to save the Mecha-Ude.
