The official website for the UNDER NINJA live-action film today released a super teaser trailer for the upcoming theatrical release. The clip additionally confirmed the movie is scheduled to release in Japan on January 24, 2025.
The website also announced that Yuichi Fukuda, best known for his work on the Gintama live-action series, is attached to direct as well as work on the screenplay. Additionally, Kento Yamazaki (Kingdom live-action film series) is cast as the protagonist, Kuro Kumogakure. Minami Hamabe (Godzilla Minus One) is cast as the main heroine, Ayaka Noguchi. Teaser visuals of the two were also released.

Kengo Hanazawa’s original manga UNDER NINJA is serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine since July 2018, releasing 12 tankobon volumes to date. The live-action film project was previously announced on March 31.The manga’s TV anime adaptation produced by Tezuka Productions aired for 12 episodes from October to December 2023.
