The official website for Maho Tsukai Precure!! ~ MIRAI DAYS~, the upcoming sequel to the 13th Precure TV series Witchy Precure! (known as Maho Tsukai Precure! / Maho Girls Precure! in Japan), released a newly-drawn visual for the series on August 29. In the image, the two main Precure girls of the show, Cure Miracle and Cure Magical, look at each other while holding their partner fairy, Mofurun, between them.

The site also announced the anime’s main staff members. As with the previous sequel project Power of Hope ~Precure Full Bloom~ in 2023, anime production will be handled jointly by Toei Animation and Studio Deen.The main staff members include:

Rie Kitagawa is also confirmed to return to sing the sequel’s opening theme song. Kitagawa sang the original TV series’ opening theme song in two versions — “Dokkin♢Mahou Tsukai PreCure!” for the first half of the series and “Dokkin♢Mahou Tsukai PreCure! Part 2” for the second half.The title of the new opening song is “Dokkin♢Mahou Tsukai PreCure!! Part 3 ~MIRAI DAYS,” and is expected to be another newly updated version of the original opening song. Maho Tsukai Precure!! ~ MIRAI DAYS~ is set to premiere on ABC TV/TV Asahi networks’ midnight programming block “ANiMAZiNG!!!” on January 11, 2025, at 26:00 (JST).

Witchy PreCure! aired for 50 episodes from February 2016 to January 2017 as the 13th installment in the long-running Precure anime franchise. The series is also now available on Crunchyroll.Toei Animation’s official USA website describes the series:

Mirai Asahina, a thirteen-year-old girl who is excited by various things, goes with her stuffed doll Mofurun to investigate a mysterious object that fell from the sky. There, she meets a young magician named Riko who is searching for something known as the Linkle Stone Emerald.
