Puniru wa Kawaii Slime (“Puniru is a Cute Slime”), an upcoming TV anime based on the romantic comedy manga by Maedakun, has published a ton of new info including a new trailer, new key cart, additional cast members and the opening theme song performer. The series will broadcast in Japan on TV TOKYO beginning on October 6, 2024.
The opening theme song, entitled “Gyumu!”, is performed in-character by Puniru (voiced by Yu Sasahara), and it is sampled in the new trailer below.

Shogakukan serializes the original Puniru wa Kawaii Slime manga in their Weekly CoroCoro Comic digital manga magazine. Yushi Ibe directs the TV anime at TOHO animation STUDIO. Michiko Yokote provides the series composition, Aya Tanaka provides the character designs, and Izumi Mori provides the music.

The story of Puniru wa Kawaii Slime follows the daily adventures of Kotaro, a young boy, and Puniru, the slime he created when he was in elementary school. For the last seven years, Kotaro and Puniro have been great friends, but now that he’s a second year student at junior high, Kotaro has discovered that Puniro can take on the shape of a beautiful and free-spirited girl, and her wild behavior causes him no end of trouble.
