More than two years after the sequel’s initial announcement at the same event, the 2024 edition of MF Bunko J School Summer Festival today unveiled an ‘ultra’ teaser visual for The Detective Is Already Dead Season 2 with the tagline “It’s too soon for an epilogue.”
Additional details about Siesta and Kimihiko’s next case, such as production staff and release date, are yet to be confirmed.
Ultra Teaser Visual
Based on the light novels by nigozyu and Umibozu, the first season of The Detective Is Already Dead was directed by Manabu Kurihara (Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! character designer) at studio ENGI and aired for 12 episodes from July to September 2021.
