The ninth episode of the second season of Tower of God TV anime aired overnight, introducing two new Workshop researchers to the cast to help (?) those climbing up the tall structure. This includes Mai Nakahara as the research assistant Sophia Amae and Kohsuke Toriumi as the mysterious head of the lab Maddox.
The two new characters introduced include:
Sophia Amae voiced by Mai Nakahara (Maryrose in SHADOWS HOUSE)
Maddox voiced by Kohsuke Toriumi (Guido Mista in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind)

Tower of God Season 2 is chief-directed by Kazuyoshi Takeuchi and directed by Satoshi Suzuki at The Answer Studio, with series composition by Erika Yoshida (BOCCHI THE ROCK!), character designs by Miho Tanino, Seigo Kitazawa and Yoshimitsu Kashima and music by Kevin Penkin (The Apothecary Diaries).
Crunchyroll is simulcasting the anime and describes the series as such:
Ja Wangnan can’t seem to pass the 20th floor. Even after failing time and time again, he refuses to give up. On his journey, he meets a mysterious and powerful character named Viole. Wangnan invites Viole to join his team of Regulars. Their journey continues with new challenges at every turn.
