Following the sequel’s announcement in March earlier this year, the MJ Bunko J School Summer Festival event held in Japan today unveiled a brand-new visual for Sasaki and Peeps Season 2 that sees Abaddon and Kurosu soaking up the night atmosphere (and plenty of water), with Sasaki alongside.
A release date for the second season is yet to be announced.
Season 2 Visual
Based on the light novels by Buncololi and Kantoku, Mirai Minato (Masamune-kun’s Revenge) directs Sasaki and Peeps at studio SILVER LINK., with series composition by Deko Akao (The Case Study of Vanitas) and character designs by Saori Nakashiki (The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!).
Crunchyroll streams the first season in a range of subs and dubs and describes the story:
Sasaki is a middle-aged office worker living in Japan. Feeling drained by the vapid corporate world, he heads to the pet shop in search of a new companion. There he finds an adorable bird named Peeps and takes him home. But Sasaki quickly learns that Peeps isn’t your average bird…he’s a powerful mage from another world! Together, they embark on a magical adventure filled with swords and sorcery.
