Time to reel in more details for the upcoming original anime Negative Positive Angler as Kadokawa revealed a catcher’s box of more information for the Yutaka Uemura (Saga of Tanya the Evil)-directed series. Following the release of the first full trailer to the world, a brand new visual was revealed alongside the announcement of the anime’s premiere on October 3, as well as opening and ending theme song and character/cast info.

Three-piece Japanese band Van de Shop will perform the opening theme song “Ito” is performed, with 96neko (also known as Kuroneko) performing the ending theme song “Shonin Yokkyu.”Joining the cast of Negative Positive Angler include:

Uemura directs Negative Positive Angler at studio NUT, with series composition by Tomohiro Suzuki (One-Punch Man), character designs and chief animation direction by Hiromi Taniguchi (Ranma 1/2 remake) and music from Tomoki Kikuya (BOCCHI THE ROCK!).The story of Negative Positive Angler follows Tsunehiro Sasaki, a depressed college student burdened with debt and being told that he only has two years left to live. After falling into the sea while on the run from debt collectors, Tsunehiro is rescued by friends Hana and Takaaki and soon becomes hooked on fishing himself.
