In some news that totally rocks, Ruri no Houseki – a manga by Keiichirou Shibuya about two women who study the science of mineralogy – announced today the series will be adapted into a TV anime, following the launch of an official website and social media feed for the production. The series is scheduled to premiere in 2025. No further details about the anime such as the cast and crew were revealed at the time of reporting.More details on the anime are scheduled to be announced at Aniplex Online Fest 2024, scheduled for September 15 (PT).
The manga creator Shibuya also released a celebratory illustration following the announcement.
Shibuya has serialized the Ruri no Houseki manga in Kadkokawa’s Harta magazine since August 2019, with the fifth volume to release in Japan on September 13.The story follows Ruri, a high school girl who loves jewelry, who develops an interest in the world of mineral collecting after encountering Nagi, a graduate student studying mineralogy.
