Japanese record company Nippon Columbia has announced that voice actor Aguri Onishi’s seventh CD single “Auftakt” is set to release on November 20, 2024. The title tune will be featured as the upcoming second season of the Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles TV anime, in which she has also been cast as one of the main characters, Masato Sendo. This is her second theme song work for the anime series, following her second single song “Elder flower,” which was used as the ending theme for the anime’s first season in 2021. Her official YouTube channel is now streaming a preview video for “Auftakt” and the single’s coupling song, “Fall in you.” Both songs were already performed at her recent fan meeting event on August 10.

While playing anime roles such as Ayumu Uehara in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club and Carla in Don’t Hurt Me, My Healer!, Onishi has also actively worked as a solo artist since her solo debut in March 2021, releasing six singles and one full album. Her other anime theme song works include “Jellyfish na Kimi e” (3rd single / Don’t Hurt Me, My Healer! opening theme), “Hajimaru Welcome” (4th single / Management of a Novice Alchemist opening theme), and “Aimai Girl” (6th single / Sasaki and Peeps. ending theme).
