Today on its theatrical opening day in Japan, the official X (formerly Twitter) for Wonderful Precure! The Movie! Dokidoki ♡Game no Sekai de Daibouken! (translated to Heart-Pounding — A great adventure in the world of games!) revealed the voice cast for Daifuku, Satoru Toyama’s pet Holland Lop.*The following contains spoilers for the story of the film.
Yuichi Nakamura (Satoru Gojo in JUJUTSU KAISEN) is confirm to play the role of Daifuku. Daifuku, who never spoke in the TV series, finally speaks in the movie and transforms into human form, just like Komugi (Cure Wonderful) and Yuki (Cure Nyammy).”Daifuku was the most adorable character I have ever played,” said Nakamura. “As for his personality, it was a character that I had played before, so I made use of my previous experience in that aspect, but he also has a cute appearance, so I was conscious of expressing the gap between his voice and his personality as a sound. Satoru is his owner, but Daifuku is more like an older brother to Satoru, and Daifuku feels like he is ‘watching over’ Satoru, so I tried to convey that in my voice and acting. I think everyone has the desire to know how animals feel and to talk with them, and I think Satoru has always wanted to talk with Daifuku, too. That is why I was so happy to be able to talk with Satoru as the role of Daifuku.”
The 33rd Precure feature film, Wonderful Precure! The Movie! Dokidoki ♡Game no Sekai de Daibouken! opens in Japan today on September 13, 2024. As reported, two teams from the past Precure franchise — the 13th series, Witchy PreCure!, and 20th series, Soaring Sky! Precure, — join forces with the Wonderful Precure! team.
