Two years on from when we first jacked into Cyberpunk: Edgerunners on September 13, 2022, the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) account today upgraded its already preem gallery with an epic piece of anniversary artwork illustrated by character designer Yoh Yoshinari (Little Witch Academia).

Set in the world of R. Talsorian Games’ tabletop RPG and CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 video game, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi (Promare) at studio TRIGGER and won Anime of the Year at the 2023 Anime Awards.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners tells a standalone, 10-episode story about a street kid trying to survive in a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he chooses to stay alive by becoming an edgerunner—a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk.
