Shortly after being teased, Studio TRIGGER (Kill la Kill, Delicious in Dungeon) released its special Transformers 40th anniversary video, and it covers all the bases in style. The short—which runs through the history of the long-running Transformers series and its many sequels, spinoffs and big-screen features—features the song “Mayday” by BUMP OF CHICKEN.Hiromi Wakabayashi serves as creative producer for the short, with Akira Amemiya (SSSS.GRIDMAN) directing, providing storyboards and handling animation direction.
