Following the release of the Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo stage play key visual in July, the official website for the upcoming stage play adaptation of Yoshio Sawai’s surreal comedy manga series, titled Cho Hajike Stage Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, released visuals of its eight main cast members.

Additionally, Riona Tatemichi, a stage play actress who has appeared in the Sailor Moon musical series (2014-2022) and Attack on Titan – the Musical (2023-2024), will play the role of Torpedo Girl.”I first encountered Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo when I was in the early grades of elementary school,” said Tatemichi. “The manga had an impact on me even at a young age, and I spent my adolescence collecting the volumes of the series. When I heard that the manga was going to be adapted for the stage play, I was determined to go and see it, and I am overjoyed to be able to perform as Torpedo Girl. I can’t stop being excited about what the play will be like. I will do my best to be the strongest Torpedo Girl.”Shinichiro Ota, who was the narrator for the Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo TV anime aired from 2003 to 2005, will also join the stage play as the narrator again.”Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo gets its stage play. The Cho Hajike Stage Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo stage play is set to open at Theater 1010 in Tokyo from October 23 to 31, 2024. General sales of the tickets began on September 7.The original manga series Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2001 to November 2005, then was followed by its sequel Shinsetsu Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo from December 2005 to July 2007. Toei Animation’s TV anime adaptation aired for 76 episodes from November 2003 to May 2005.Toei Animation’s official English website describes the series:
