After the July announcement that Aya Hirakawa’s romantic comedy manga Mikadono Sanshimai wa Angai, Choroi has a TV anime in the works, the first teaser trailer and key visual for the series was released during Aniplex Online Fest 2024. The teaser confirmed that the series is produced at P.A. Works with Tadahito Matsubayashi directing and Yusuke Inoue providing the character designs. The series is scheduled for a 2025 broadcast.

Mikadono Sanshimai wa Angai, Choroi is serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine since December 2021. Volume 11 of the series is set to be released in October in Japan.The series follows Yu Ayase who the Mikadono family takes in after the death of his mother, a popular actor. Already struggling with living up to his mother’s legacy, now Ayase is surrounded by three prodigy sisters: actor Kazuki, martial artist Nico and Shogi player Miwa. The three girls start to develop feelings for Ayase and hijinks ensues.
