We’re getting ever closer to the premiere of the DAN DA DAN anime, and the latest update is here with some new cast additions for a selection of paranormal foes, as well as a new key visual and a trio of teasers. Check it all out ahead of the anime’s October 3, 2024 premiere. First up, the new cast:

The original DAN DA DAN manga by Yukinobu Tatsu is serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ digital manga magazine since April 2021. An English language version is available from VIZ Media. Fuga Yamashiro directs the TV anime series at anime studio Science SARU with Hiroshi Seko providing the scripts, Naoyuki Onda on character design, and kensuke ushio on music. The series premieres on October 3 in Japan.Crunchyroll is set to stream the series when it premieres in October, describing DAN DA DAN as such:
This is a story about Momo, a high school girl who comes from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult fanatic. After Momo rescues Okarun from being bullied, they begin talking. However, an argument ensues between them since Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens exist, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts exist.
To prove to each other what they believe in is real, Momo goes to an abandoned hospital where a UFO has been spotted and Okarun goes to a tunnel rumored to be haunted. To their surprise, they each encounter overwhelming paranormal activities that transcend comprehension. Amid these predicaments, Momo awakens her hidden power and Okarun gains the power of a curse to overcome these new dangers! Their fateful love begins as well!?
