Aniplex Online Fest 2024 capped off its exciting run of announcements today with a literal bang, revealing a memorable visual and trailer for a brand-new original anime titled Virgin Punk that follows a young bounty hunter named Ubu in the year 2099, featuring designs and concepts by Yasuomi Umetsu (Kite, Mezzo Forte) and studio Shaft (Monogatari Series).Lupin the 3rd scriptwriter Yuya Takahashi is in charge of the series composition. The first part of the anime, titled “Clockwork Girl”, will be shown at Cine Libre Ikebukuro and Osaka’s Theatre Umeda in early summer 2025. Cast members and further release details were not confirmed at the time of announcement.
