Next month, Pokémon Horizons: The Series kicks off its “Rayquaza Rising” arc. Fans of the games may notice familiar events unfolding, as part of this upcoming arc will adapt the events of the 2022 game DLC Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. A new trailer reveals the next humans and ‘mons to jump from the game to the series.

Joining the anime’s cast will be (from left to right):
Perrin: Marika Kono (Silence Suzuka in Umamusume: Pretty Derby)
Briar: Yu Shimamura (Annie Leonhart in Attack on Titan)
Carmine: Misato Fukuen (Himiko Toga in My Hero Academia)
Perrin is joined by her Hisuian Growlithe, and Carmine is accompanied by her Sinistcha.
The newest Pokémon anime, titled Pokémon Horizons: The Series in the West, features the first new protagonists in the history of the franchise and started in Japan on April 14, 2023, with Saori Den directing at OLM.
The series premiered in English in the UK in December 2023 on BBC iPlayer and in North America on Netflix on March 7, 2024, with the first 12 episodes. Part 4 of the series is scheduled to stream on Netflix starting November 22.
