The trailer also features a sample of the new anime’s opening song. Actress and singer ano sings then new theme, titled “Kyokon-kyun.” Fans may recognize ano’s previous musical work from series including Chainsaw Man, DEAD DEAD DEMONS DEDEDEDE DESTRUCTION and Tiger & Bunny.

Early One Piece anime director Konosuke Uda is directing Ranma 1/2 at MAPPA with series composition written by Kimiko Ueno (Delicious in Dungeon), character designs by Hiromi Taniguchi (FLCL Alternative costume designer) and music from Kaoru Wada (Inuyasha).

Ranma 1/2 premieres on Japanese TV on October 5 at 24:55, effectively 12:55 AM on October 6 with Netflix set to stream episodes immediately after broadcast. MAPPA describes the series as such:
