It’s time to watch the tide go out on the given anime series after five years of touring, as the final installment and the second of two recent films, subtitled “Umi e” (“To the Sea”), washed into Japanese theaters last Friday.
Mafuyu and Ritsuka look on in a new ‘post-release’ visual unveiled on the anime’s official website and X (formerly Twitter) account today.
Post-Release Visual
Based on the manga by Natsuki Kizu, the given anime series and first film were directed by Hikaru Yamaguchi at studio Lerche. Crunchyroll streams both in a range of subs and dubs, describing the noteworthy story as such:
Somehow, the guitar that he used to love to play and the basketball games that he found so fun just lost their appeal…
That was until Ritsuka Uenoyama randomly met Mafuyu Sato. Ritsuka had started losing his passion for music in his everyday life, but then he hears Mafuyu sing for the first time. The song resonates with his heart and the distance between them starts to change.
